Hey everyone. I’ve installed a Kaboodle 2 x 31l pull out bin in to my non-Kaboodle cupboard. I’ve noticed that the right side of it has extra slack in the runner. Is there any way to remedy this? It’s annoying.
Hi @olitim85,
When you say there is extra slack in the runner, can you elaborate on what exactly you are experiencing?
Is it that the runner on one side runs smoother than the one on the other side?
Or is it that the runner is not attached as well on one side as the other?
Any additional details will help us to work out a solution.
Some photos would also certainly help. Can I trouble you to upload some photos showing what the issue is?
Let me know if you need any assistance with this.
I'll assist further when you get back to us.

Hi JacobZ,
Yeah I tried to add a video as that illustrates it well but it didn’t accept a video.
Essentially when I pull the bin out to its full extent, the right side can slide out a few mm’s extra. They’re both sliding with out issue and they appear to be installed at the same height/level within the cupboard. I have attached a photo that might illustrate my problem
Hello @olitim85
Thanks for sharing your question about your slide out bin. The only reason I can think of for the extra slide out on the right-hand side is that its ever so slightly installed ahead of the left-hand rail. I propose double checking the alignment with a spirit level and a steel ruler. If the rails are level and equally installed, I suggest re-installing the bin and testing it again.
If the right-hand side still pulls out too far, I recommend removing the screws and pushing the right-hand rail back a few millimetres. Re-install the screws and test the bins pullout to see if it balances out.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1, @Noyade and @JoeAzza for their recommendations.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Good Morning @olitim85
When I have put together Kaboodle cupboards I found that if I did "exactly" what the instructions said then I was home free, if it was out then I did run into problems. I think @EricL's suggestion to check would be a great first step. Then reinstall if needed (The existing holes may be too close to the old holes, but there is timber putty that can be used that once set you can screw into it again. Hi EricL, thank you for your reply. Indeed I think the right hand rail is set about 2-3mm forward compared to the left rail. I will go ahead and re-install the right one, 2-3mm back towards the back of the cupboard. I’ll let you know how I go. Unfortunately the instructions that came with the pull out bins were incorrect, which was disappointing. It states that the furthest screw to the rear for the rails is to be installed at 475mm from the front of the carcass. Unfortunately that does not line up with the screw holes in the rail. It was more like 425mm.
Good morning Dave-1. Thanks for the suggestion of the product mentioned. I will re-install and use that product if needed. In this case, as mentioned above the Kaboodle instructions were incorrect.
Sorry to hear that the instructions were incorrect, @olitim85, and thank you for bringing it to our attention. I’ll make sure your feedback is passed on to Kaboodle.

Hi EricL. Yes! That worked. Thank you. Although now I’ve given myself another problem. Haha! The top of the cupboard door attached to the brackets now seems to be leaning out a bit and the top part of the door doesn’t seem to sit flat with the cupboard.
Hello @olitim85
It's good to hear that the bin is no longer pulling out too far. This particular issue you currently have usually happens when the rail is not level. The back end of the rail is higher than the front so when the bin cabinet is pushed back in you get a tilting phenomenon. I propose loosening the screw at the back of the rail and re-aligning the rail then re-tightening it. It should get rid of the tilt at the front.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
