Hi! I have just recently noticed our bench top has some faded spots and swipes. I haven’t dont anything out of the ordinary other than use a sponge, hot water and dish soap to wipe it down like I normally would. The colour goes back to normal when wet but when it dries, it goes back to the splotchy mess. I think it’s just a laminate countertop, it’s in a rental in an apartment building. Any tips on how to restore it to a unified colouring?
*update- there was some drain cleaner in the sink, I’m not sure if some of that foam touched the sponge, and caused the damage? It seems more likely than just soap, as I normally use a natural household cleaner or dish detergent with a cloth/ sponge to wipe down.
