How to fix damaged laminate countertop?

I have a laminate counter top that took some damage from a drill. What’s the best way to fix this? About 2cm long

I propose using Parfix 500g Ready To Use Multipurpose Filler to patch the damage and lightly sanding it level once the filler cures. I then recommend spraying or covering the patch with a clear coating. Please note that this is a temporary patch and it will be necessary at some point to replace the benchtop. But in the meantime, the patch can be maintained by another application of filler should it start to wear down.
