How to fix kitchen cabinet door hinge socket?

I have a slightly old kitchen cabinets, one of its door hinge has been damaged. The plastic socket that holds the metal plate has broken and the plate pops out as can be seen in the video.

The issue I have is that I am not able to remove the plastic socket so that the hinge can be replaced.

What alternative do I have?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your door hinge.

It appears that your hinge socket has a proprietary locking system that does not use screws. If you look at the plastic mechanical system at the front of the hinge it appears that it can be flipped or switched to the open position. However, since the plate pops out, I suggest using an ice pick or sharp pointed tool to lift the plastic socket out of the hole. It might require a bit of force to remove the plastic piece especially if part of it has been glued in.
