How to fix leaking Caroma double bowl connector?

Hi there,

I have recently installed new kitchen sink plumbing, part of it is the Caroma 50mm Extended Double Bowl Connector.

It is leaking from the L connection piece at the beveled washer, I think likely a washer install issue (circled on picture)The connection point there is quite loose, so hoping to get some assistance on how to join this section correctly - where should the pipe be cut, how should it sit, how to stop it leaking etc.

Thank you!

Re: Installing double bowl connector - Caroma - leaking

Hi @gsom,

A few issues that could cause this: The pipe was cut too short, the O ring wasn't installed, or the O ring is pinched. The first thing a plumber would likely do is pull it out and refit. Sometimes, it might not have gone home properly, and a simple refit can resolve this. Apart from that, everything else seems about right.

Bear in mind that this is considered plumbing work and requires a licensed plumber for installation. If you continue to have issues, I'd suggest reaching out to one for assistance.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
