How to fix loose spout kitchen tap?

The spout keeps popping out when I turn on the tap. I thought all I needed to do was tighten the screw at the back with an Allen key but nothing seems to fit. I’ve taken a photo and it looks like and Allen key isn’t the correct tool for this. Can anyone please help me ? Thank you

Re: How to fix loose spout kitchen tap?

Hello @Damo13

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your kitchen tap.

I propose trying one more time with either a Stanley 3 x 45mm Slotted Screwdriver or a graduated set of Craftright 25 Piece Hex Key Set. This hex key set comes in imperial and metric which means that there is a high probability that one of them will fit. The last option will be to use a Sutton Tools No2 Easy Out Extractor Screw Set, but this will require you to uninstall your entire tapware to get access to the grub screw. Once it's removed, I suggest replacing it with a compatible piece from the Pinnacle M5 - M8 Black Assorted Grub Screw Set - 12 Pack.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
