how to install a 3 way kitchen tap without the filter , to be installed at a later date
Hello @Emmanuel1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your three-way tap.
Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing work needs to be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.
Depending on the type and model of your three-way tap they generally still abide by the standard of using one hot line and one cold line. However, a cold bypass might need to be installed for the purposes of installing an extra line for the water filter attachment. Each manufacturer have their own way of doing it so it's best to check your installation manual which would have come with the tap.
I also suggest having a good look at the warranty pamphlet that came with the tap as it might specify that the tap must be installed by a plumber so that it is covered by the warranty. Failing to do so might void the taps warranty.
My best advice is to make sure to install mini shut off valves for each line so that the tap can shut off in case of an emergency. This will save you time and you won't have to shut off the mains outside your house.
If you have any specific questions about your tapware, please let us know.
Eric
