How can I install a benchtop dishwasher to a kitchen sink tap? What adaptor to allow dual usage?

Benchtop dishwashers are not designed to be attached to kitchen sink taps; they need to be hard-plumbed to a water source under the bench as per their installation instructions. I am unaware of any fitting that is approved for connection of a dishwasher to a sink tap.
