How to install an integrated dishwasher in a Kaboodle kitchen?

Hi,

I want to install a 450mm integrated dishwasher into a Kaboodle kitchen. I have found a variety of appliances, each measuring the same 448mm in width. My only concern is the height, as they are all 815mm in height & a Kaboodle cabinet door is 717mm.

Has anyone installed such an appliance & are there any issues I should be aware of, in particular the height issue.

My other concern is the compatibility of the the kickboard.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about installing a dishwasher.

The Kaboodle cabinet along with its plastic adjustable feet has a standard height of 860mm and can go higher if needed. The general standard height of kitchens is around 900mm this is made up of the cabinet which is 860mm plus the thickness of the benchtop which is 40mm. Please note that benchtops come in different thicknesses just keep this in mind when putting your kitchen together. Therefore, the space under the benchtop is more than enough for a standard or compact dishwasher.

Hi,

My only concern is the front panel that attaches to the dishwasher. I've checked the IKEA panel that is recommended for the dishwasher I am interested in & it measures 79.7cm in height whereas the Kaboodle cabinet door only measures 71.7cm in height. Is there a specific front panel for an integrated dishwasher as opposed to just using a cabinet door, all other dimensions are fine. Looking at the website it doesn't seem to show what front panel is compatible with the integrated dishwashers Bunnings sells. Is there an option to have a custom front panel made?

The Kaboodle kitchen cabinetry system is actually prepared for this. Because there are dozens of integrated dishwashers with different door requirements, it is possible to order a custom sized panel in the Kaboodle range. Simply visit your local store and speak to the in-store kitchen specialist and they can talk to you about ordering a custom sized panel for your dishwasher.
