How to reduce plumbing in the kitchen?

Hi Experts,

I’ve been looking at this terrible plumbing in my kitchen cabinet that takes up so much space.

is that any way I could reduce the pipe size or rearrange it so I could have more precious space?

thanks

Re: how to reduce plumbing in the kitchen

Hello @diyerau

Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing works or modifications must be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.

Thanks for sharing your question about the plumbing under your sink. I'm surprised that the plumbing has been configured in this manner. There is clearly enough space for the S trap to be installed in a more compact manner. The plumber will probably cut down the waste pipe and reposition the waste trap to go down instead of sideways. The shelf might need to be modified by making the hole bigger to allow the trap to pass through.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric

Re: how to reduce plumbing in the kitchen

Hi Eric,

after reading your message it seems that I should get a Plummer to adjust the pipe. It’s not worth it for me financially. Leave it as is.
thank you.

Hi @diyerau

I would leave as is. The shelving in the cupboard appear to be fixed, which left the plumber little option to install the S-trap in a more vertical solution. I personally think they did a very neat job. Any change will be costly with little if any gain.
