How can i remove this countertop burn?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @nafisareecha. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about removing a burn mark.
For a full circular burn mark like the one in your photo, unfortunately, there aren’t really any simple DIY fixes that will restore the benchtop to its original look. If it’s a laminate surface, the damage usually goes deeper than just the top layer, so the mark can’t just be scrubbed or polished out. One option is to sand back the damaged area, fill any low spots with a repair filler such as Builder’s bog, then sand it smooth and refinish the whole benchtop with a specialty product like Dulux’s Renovation Range. This gives you a fresh, painted surface, though you’d be changing the benchtop colour rather than keeping the original finish.
If you’d prefer to retain the existing look, the best option would be to reach out to a benchtop repair specialist. They sometimes have access to materials and colour-matching techniques that can make the damage less noticeable. For severe burns, however, replacement or resurfacing is often the most practical long-term solution.
