Re: How to remove mould from this area ?

Hello @manivel1987

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about removing mould in your kitchen sink.

Before you begin your project, please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves and goggles when working on your project. I propose using a Trojan Safety Scraper With 5 Blades to remove the old silicone seal along the wall and benchtop. Male sure to keep your hand steady so as not to damage the benchtop as you remove the old silicone.

The general process will be to remove the old silicone, clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry. Line the benchtop surface and the wall with painters masking tape and leave a gap for the new silicone line. Please refer to the guide below.

Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How To Silicone Seal A Bath (the techniques used are applicable to your benchtop project)

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
