Hi, could pls help us with to remove this range hood
Hi @anilkumar3009,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.
Are you looking to remove the rangehood completely? Or just remove the mesh screen to clean it or maybe replace a bulb?
If your rangehood is hard-wired to your home's electrical system, then unfortunately, you would need the assistance of an electrician to remove it. Please don't take any risks; it is not worth it.
If it is plugged into an electrical socket that you can safely remove, then you should be able to remove it yourself, but you want to be certain that there is no electrical risk before doing anything.
With the power disconnected, push the mesh screen up and rotate it so it can be slipped out of place. You'd then want to look for any mounting screws and remove them.
If you can safely get to this step and can't find any screws or mounting hardware on the inside, please have a look around the rangehood and take photos of any screws you find. I'd be happy to have a look and see if I can assist further.

Hi Jacob,
To remove and clean the rangehood
Hi @anilkumar3009,
Have you tried pushing the mesh screen up and then rotating it so it can slip through the frame?
They're usually just sitting in place without any screws holding them.
Otherwise, maybe try unscrewing the light cover and see if you can see anything holding the mesh in place through the light part of the rangehood.
Let me know how you go.
Jacob
You only need to remove the filter not the actual rangehood to clean it. The filter should slide left or right in a spring loaded mechanism to release it. You might need a butter knife to help pry it out by the looks. A brand and model number will help locate a manual online.

Hi @anilkumar3009,
I suspect there are four tabs that mate with slots in the sides of the filter.
With bread knife in one hand and supporting the filter with the other look up into the gap at one end and you will see two tabs.
Push one tab (one way or the other) and it should turn out of the slot to release the filter at that point.
Do the same with the other tab and one side will be released.
Repeat to release the other side.
Looks like this but your filter tabs will be on each side.
Cheers
