How to repair broken ceramic table top?

Hi, my ceramic table top had a little crack but broke off when my toddler pulled his suction plate off it. How can I fix it? The ceramic top is somehow sitting on top of a glass type sheet. And also, how can I fill the crack? Hope someone can help me out. Please and thank you!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your ceramic table.

If you are planning on a quick fix, I suggest looking at using Selleys 250g Liquid Nails Clear Construction Adhesive. Please note that even though the adhesive dries clear it will not hide the crack on your ceramic surface. The only other suggestion I can make is to engage the services of a stone top specialist who might be able to mend and hide the damage to the ceramic surface.

Follow @EricL suggestion of that construction adhesive for the repair as it's what I would do as well. That will work perfectly without the need to pay someone as the break looks clean. Just make sure the surface is cleaned of loose debris prior.

My thoughts to fixing it back to the table top are along the lines of what @EricL has suggested. However I am thinking of the crack/join that will still be visable, How about investigating the method that crockery is glued back together with the gold coloured grout/glue. I just googled it and its called "Kintsugi (or sometimes Kintsukuroi)" Why try and hide something that I think would be very hard to hide when you could add to it with the gold colouring.

Thanks Dave, they are qyite exprensive so will see how bad the crack looks once we repair it then will decide. Thanks!
