I want to replace the aerator with a swivel aerator, I can’t seem to remove the existing one it is too stiff
Thanks!
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @nattyjc. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about replacing an aerator.
It would be helpful to know what tools you have already tried, because most aerators are tightened far too firmly to remove by hand. You will normally need a pair of adjustable pliers to get the existing aerator turning. If you are looking up at the bottom of the aerator, it should loosen with an anti-clockwise turn. If you are looking down from above, that means turning your tool clockwise. Make sure you wrap some tape or a cloth around the aerator first, because the teeth on the pliers can easily mark or scratch the finish. That particular Mondella Maestro model uses a fairly large aerator; it is worth checking that the new swivel aerator is actually compatible. Many swivel styles are designed for the smaller, more standard aerator housings, and the larger Maestro size does not always match them.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
