The first project we wanted to do in our house was the kitchen, it was the room that we knew would be the most used, and it was the room that was the least practical. we had a tight budget we needed to stick to, and we are so happy with the end result! There is so much more usable space now, and it just feels so delightful to be in it, whether I am cooking, sitting at the table doing work or entertaining friends and family. It is definitely my favourite room of the house.
Steps
Step 1
First we needed to remove the massive corner pantry that took up most of the space and all of the wall cabinets.

Step 2
Next we got the wires taken care of that were in the pantry and regibbed the patches of wall that needed it. My awesome Dad helped us so much!!

Step 3
Next up we plaster patched what we needed to.

Step 4
Then it was bye bye to the delightful yellow and blues

Step 5
Next up we enlisted the help of our kitchen fitting friend Bryan and he helped us fit in the new (second hand) kitchen. We truly were soooo grateful for his help!

Step 6
Next we pulled up all the old Lino and laid the new flooring! We had half a plank left at the end- so glad we had enough!

Step 7
Next was trying to to fit our new bench top in….was a tight squeeze but we got there in the end!! Not without removing the fridge and pantry and wall cabinets first though! 🤣

Step 8
Next up our awesome tiler friend Mike swoops in to help us put the tiles in!

Step 9
Downlights and pendant light go in from another awesome friend!

Step 10
Time to furnish!!!
