We have had this setting for about 20 years. It has seen many family dinners and get together with friends. It’s time to downsize and let another family make happy memories around this table.
Diggers Paint stripper
British Paints Prep 4 in 1- White
Cabots Stain and Varnish - Walnut
British Paints Furniture Paint in White/Matt/ Chalk finish
Sealer
Sander and Medium/Fine sandpaper
Paint Brushes and rollers
First step was to remove/strip old varnish using Diggers paint stripper.
All surfaces were then washed down, and dried.
Next all surfaces were sanded down using medium and fine sandpaper.
After all surfaces were cleaned down I then stained the table, and sanded it numerous times until I was happy with the colour.
I then prepped and painted the chairs, giving them 3 coats.
Sealer added, and cushion seats reupholstered and put back together.

You've certainly breathed new life it to the aged piece. I really like the natural timber finish instead of the darker stain. The chairs also look far better in white, and you've done some wonderful work on the upholstery.
Great job, and thanks again for sharing.
