What is the best sealer to use for a reconstituted stone marble benchtop?

Hi everyone,

Just moved into a new place and wanted to know which sealer at Bunnings (or anywhere else) would be best to protect a reconstituted stone marble bench top (honed) from stains etc?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

I'd suggest you use the Crommelin DiamondTough Stone Shield Clear Sealer. 

It is a premium protective sealer for dense natural stone that will help prevent stains from setting in and contains anti-microbial additives that prohibit the growth of mould and algae.

You'll want to ensure you follow the instructions closely, particularly the steps for surface preparation. There is additional information in the Cromellin Sealers Full Instructions, as well as the Substrate Preparation Checklist for Sealers.

Essentially, you'll want to ensure the surface is perfectly clean by using Crommelin DiamondTough Clean N Prep Surface Cleaner, then apply two coats of the sealer using a paint roller or paint brush.
