Adding detail to our dining room

Adding detail to our dining room

We took a plain, drab corner of our living room and gave it a purpose with a really easy DIY. This has given our Dining space character and warmth as was simple with Bunning primed moulding cut to the right lengths, some liquid nails and a level. A few coats if paint and caulking and our 2 day project came to life

Materials

Primed moulding

Nails

Liquid nails

Paint

Caulk

Tools

Hammer

Level

Glue gun

Steps

Step 1

First we measured up our space and determined the lengths of moulding we would need

Step 2

Bunnings cut our moulding to size for a small cost

Step 3

We lined up the pieces and covered the backs with liquid nails

Step 4

This step was a two person job, we held up the pieces, using a level for accuracy and nailed in the lengths to fix them in place

Step 5

Once dry we caulked all edges and filled in nail holes

Step 6

Finally painting (primer if needed) and a few layers, while we chose white this could look amazing in any colour.

Step 7

Kick back, enjoy and look at your (non-boring) wall
