Created this beautiful new room for our sons 5 birthday present for him!
He loves it just as much as I do.
Created his custom desk with Laminated Panels 405mm wide & dowel legs .
3/4 painted wall is Dulux Ocean trapeze
Picture/book shelfs made from primed pine then painted to suit the room- secures to the wall just with screws.

Many thanks for sharing your amazing project. I'm a great fan of the desk and the overall style you have chosen to go with. The mountain stencil on the table is a nice touch too.
How long did it take you to build the desk and bookshelves? Did you run into any issues along the way?

The desk we built over about a week, had all the timber pre cut at bunnings, nail gunned & glued it together in a day the it took a few days to varnish it & then assemble the legs. 1 issue we did have is the toy box lid hits the wall with the hinges we used so we are going to change it to open to the side instead of the back and use kitchen cupboard hinges instead to help with strength & a streamline finish still.
the book shelfs were super easy & very quick! I purchase 2.7m lengths and created 3 shelfs 1200, 900 & 600.
wood glue & a few nails with the nail gun and ready for a paint. We countersunk the screws then attached to the wall.
