Can we remove supporting posts?

We are renovating an existing built in wardrobe that was quite poorly designed. Our wish is to create an entire wall built in wardrobe for the main bedroom. It was previously shared with the second bedroom but poorly designed space wise. We have ripped out the plaster wall as per the photos and discovered these posts. After inspecting the roof were are not 100% certain if they are necessary to support the load of the beam above. We will be consulting a builder but our question is, are the two middle posts necessary to support the load of the beam when there are already posts at each end of the wall.

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Unfortunately, this is going to be a question for a builder or engineer.

Without being able to see the full structure of the house, there is no way to determine whether removing these studs will affect the house structure.

Removing a supporting stud could cause the beam to shift or sag, leading to cracks in walls, doors that no longer close properly, and even structural damage like floors or ceilings sagging.

I'd suggest contacting a builder that is local to you for their assessment before moving forward. You can use a service such as HiPages or True Local to find someone operating in your area.
