Hi.
When trying to choose which shade of white to repaint the interior walls with, I bought a 2L can of Snowy Mountain Half and a 2L can of Lexicon Half.
I'm finding that the Snowy Half is a little too creamy in certain lights, but also that the Lexicon Half is a little too grey and cold.
I want to lighten the space, so maybe Snowy Mountain Quarter is the way to go?!
I realise that the Snowy Mountain Half can be made lighter/less creamy by adding white, but could the Lexicon Half be re-tinted to change it to Snowy Mountain Quarter? FYI, the can of Lexicon has not been used yet.
Thanks.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @inwards61. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about paint tinting.
You could purchase a 2L of white paint and mix the 2L can of Snowy Mountain Half into it. That will give you Snowy Mountain Quarter, which will be more subtle on the creamy look.
For the Lexicon Half, there's no way to turn it into Snowy Mountain Quarter. Not only would it have to be diluted with 2L of white, the pigments used in it are likely not compatible. You could have our team take a look at it, though I think it's entirely unlikely that it could be converted.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
