How to attach brackets to ceiling close to the wall?

Is there a minimum distance I need to drill from the wall when drilling into the ceiling?

I have installed a bracket for ceiling mounted sheer curtains (<5kg). I used a Ramset Spring Toggle 3/16" X 50mm for the back end of the bracket as shown; above where the rod will go. Will the curtains stay up if I leave it with just one spring toggle per bracket across three brackets? 

If not, what are some alternative options? 

There is a metal stud/casing at the ceiling edge and moving the bracket back is not an ideal option due to space restrictions. There is also a 1.5cm gap between the ceiling and wall.

With a ceiling mounted curtain @fiorella, especially one that may get pulled on from time to time, relying on a single spring toggle per bracket is not something I would be comfortable with long term. While the sheers themselves may only weigh a few kilos, the real issue is dynamic load. A simple tug when opening or closing them can easily double that force, and spring toggles can pull out of plasterboard quite easily when that happens.

In terms of distance from the wall, drilling around 15 to 20mm out from the wall line is generally fine, provided you are clear of the metal angle or trim at the ceiling edge. If you can move the fixing just slightly away from that metal casing, you may strike solid timber behind the plasterboard. If you do hit timber, that is the ideal outcome, as you can then fix straight into it with a standard timber screw and that will be far stronger than any toggle.

If timber is not available, I would strongly suggest adding at least one additional fixing per bracket so the load is shared.

Thank you so much for your help! I think my first hole might have hit the metal trim,

Now that I have the toggle anchor in, do you know what's the smallest distance I can place another one from it? Ideally I'd like to place one 3cm away ( the rest of my brackets would have correctly spaced two toggle anchors.)

Otherwise I am not sure if I should take the one I have in currently out and drill two new holes and put two toggle anchors about 6cm appart or if I can't do that shift the curtains forward another could of cm, which I don't really want to do. I'm using these toggle anchors

3cm would be fine @fiorella, but I wouldn't make it any closer. The wider apart you can get the fixings, the better. Anywhere in this green zone should be fine.
