I have an existing blockout roller blind in our nursery room. The room is north facing and so let’s in a lot of light around the blind.
Does Bunnings have bottom and side channels to install/retrofit to my existing blinds?

Hello @WGV119
My apologies for the late reply. Would it be possible for you to post a photo of your current block out blind? From a D.I.Y point of view it's possible to build a timber "L" channel to supress the light that is leaking from the sides. If you have the tools and a little bit of D.I.Y. under your belt, you can put the channel together using timber moulding.
There is also the option of using Brutus 47 x 47 x 4mm 3.0m Angle Building Moulding it can be easily drilled into the windows timber frame.
If you need a hand posting the pictures, please let me know.

Hey Eric,
How's things mate?
Coming in three years later to this question but wondering if you'd have an idea of what if anything could be used for u-shaped tracks for externally-hung blinds?
I say u-shaped only assuming they'd be the best for the job, but I may be wrong.
They seem to clock in at about $30-$40 a pair ordered from the cheapest offshore sites waiting a couple of weeks so not the end of the world.
I could also print them on a 3d printer but mine's down for maintenance.
But if Bunno has something that's up to the task, I'll jump on it. I'll need a ~650mm cassette for the roller but reckon I'll need to build that from timber unless I get lucky.
My blinds are small at min 600mm in height excluding the casette / roller with 650 probably best to eliminate light.
Cheers!
Hello @darrenpauli
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us.
It might be possible to join two of the Brutus 47 x 47 x 4mm 3.0m Angle Building Moulding to create that "U" shape you are after. I also suggest at having a look at the "U" shaped channels available on the website, although I am not sure if their size would work for your needs. Most of the channels are sized past 650mm and will need to be trimmed down.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
Leeeegend. Thanks! Between the forums here and the Bunnings product reviews, you'd be hard pressed finding a better source of accessible, generous assistance.
I once saw a review on one of the coir products. The guy had written a veritable essay and ran conductivity testing on it. Extraordinary stuff haha.
Cheers mate!
