How to build an indoor bench seat?

Hi,

Im wanting to make a beach seat for our dining table.
Ideally attached to the wall not the floor so it’s easy to clean under.
Approx 2600 in length, and using the spec right pine panel as it will match the table we made a few months ago.

looking at brackets and wondering if I use the “Carinya 400x350 gal heavy duty brace twist bracket” they are load rated to 300kg, but is that per bracket? So if I use 6 at 415mm spacing, does that give me 1800kg loading, or just a total of 300kg no mater how many brackets?

Is there anymore suitable to make a bench seat that’s attached to the wall and not floor?

Re: How to build an indoor bench seat?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @alimcw. It's a pleasure to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about bench seats.

That's per bracket so they will be more than capable for supporting your benchseat, especially if you use several. Really a stayed bracket is the best choice as anything without the stay drastically drops in weight bearing capacity. You could potentially use six Carinya 380 x 380mm Galvanised Angle Brackets, but there could be some flex if people are sitting on the front edge.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
