Re: build table with reclaimed floor boards (eucalyptus)

Hi @albo70,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

This sounds like a brilliant project that I would love to help with.

To start, could I grab a few measurements from you?

Can you let me know what the thickness and width dimensions of the floorboards are? Also, what size table are you hoping to build?

A table would need to start with some legs. You can use a wide variety of materials, but I would suggest using something structurally rated, such as a 90x90 post or some 90 x 45mm Untreated MGP10 Framing Pine.

You would then need to create a frame to attach your floorboards to. You could use 70 x 35mm Untreated MGP10 Framing Pine to create a simple frame.

You could then attach your floorboards to the top of the frame.

Let me know what you think. I am happy to provide more specific details and a basic plan of attack when you can provide some dimensions.

Jacob
