How would be best to repair this please
Hi @Jo56,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
You're going to have to glue and clamp the table back together.
Grab a quality wood glue such as this Gorilla 236ml Wood Glue, as well as some F clamps and some short lengths of timber. Ask in the timber yard if they have any spare gluts or dunnage, as they would be perfect for this. Alternatively, these Specrite 70 x 35mm 0.9m Pine Shorts will work.
Liberally apply the wood glue to the crack, ensuring it extends along the full length of the crack. Then place a couple of pieces of timber across the top of the table and clamp the ends of these timbers to pull the crack back together.
Leave the table clamped for an hour and don't resume use of the table till the glue has fully cured, which can take 24-48 hours.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
