I have a curtain railing which is dropping on one side, I tried to screw it back into the wall, but the gib-rock on the wall has also been ripped open.
Any suggestions ?
Hi @alexp60,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Unfortunately, as the gyprock has fractured in the location of the screw, any anchor or screw that is supported by the gyprock will not work.
The only way you'll be able to install the curtain rod in the same place is to cut out the gyprock and replace it with a new, unfractured piece.
Check out How To Repair A Large Hole In Plasterboard for some guidance on this process.
Once the new patch has been installed, you can use WallMates to reinstall the curtain rod.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
