Vinyl flooring can be a bit tricky as it is essentially plastic, so I'd like to see what we are dealing with before offering any recommendations.
Do you have some photos of the scratches that you can upload? This would help our members offer their best advice based on your specific circumstances.
Depending on the severity, you may be able to use a light abrasive such as Rocket Super Fine Steel Wool to smooth out the scratches before painting them.
Once we can see the scratched, I will happily assist further. Let me know if you need a hand uploading photos.
