How to hang this mirror?

Hi I have a mirror (not too heavy maybe 1kg at most) with these fastenings on the back. How can I securely attach to a wall?Screenshot 2026-01-08 at 19.47.19.png

Re: How to hang this mirror?

Hi @ldld,

From what I can see, I’m not familiar with that exact type of fitting, and it’s not immediately obvious how it’s meant to integrate with a wall fixing. Often mirrors use a range of standard hanging hardware, but this looks like it might be a proprietary system.

There may be corresponding brackets or a wall plate that comes with the kit that these fastenings are supposed to slide or clip onto. Sometimes the fixings are designed to interlock with screws or hooks that are attached to the wall first, but from just looking at these brackets, it’s not clear what type of wall fixing is intended.

The best first step is to check whether any instructions were included with the mirror or the hanging kit, as they usually explain how these fittings are used. If instructions aren’t available, contacting the manufacturer is your safest option. They can clarify exactly what mounting method is intended and recommend appropriate fixings for your wall type. Once you know how the system is supposed to work, you can then choose suitable screws, anchors, or hooks to securely attach your mirror.

Let me tag @Dave-1 and @Noyade to see if they have any thoughts.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: How to hang this mirror?

Good morning @ldld

I have just been looking for "mount for large frameless round mirror" and there is very little info without branding.

I did come across one brand that states

"Sized at 80cm, this frameless round mirror is the ideal surface to give yourself the once-over before leaving the house. Designed to hang on the wall, this mirror features fixtures on the back to use with your hooks. Use this circular wall mirror on any wall or style above a console table, dresser, or other piece of home furniture."

Which is pretty poor form 😕

However, You could use Metal Mate 23.8 x 12 x 1.5mm 3m Aluminium Gutter Mould mounted on the wall. Then the longer top side would slip over the U channel on the wall securing it. The bottom section I would leave for spacing from the wall.

I would secure the channel with Ramset M4 x 8mm Hollow Wall Anchor - 10 Pack (I like these more then the plaster screws as you have less chance to strip the plaster when screwing them in.
