Hi,
I have bought "ikonic Norr" privacy set door handle. However, one lever does not move. Seems like it is jammed. Please help .
Am I missing a step ?
Hello @DYIuser1357
One possible reason that the other door handle does not wish to turn is because its out of alignment or the privacy locking feature is in the engaged position. I propose doing a bit of a test with the door set. Assemble the door set together without installing it on the door. Make sure that the latch is installed as well so that you can manually turn the door handles. One way to find out if the locking mechanism is engaged is to turn the handle while the latch is installed. The door handle should turn, and the latch should sink in technically opening the door. If it does not turn the lock is engaged and I suggest turning the locking nib on the axle to the open position.
Attach the other handle to the assembly and turn to test. Both handles are suppose to turn and the latch to sink. Once this operation is confirmed you can then install the new lock into the door.
