Is there a liquid stain you can add to the existing varnish to make a darker stain. Applied two coats already,

Unfortunately, you can't add a liquid stain to an already applied stain and varnish product like Monocel to darken the finish, as the surface is now sealed by the varnish. Once a stain and varnish product has been applied, the stain cannot penetrate further, and attempting to add a liquid stain on top may result in uneven colouring or peeling.
I can only suggest applying another coat on the surface, but I recommend lightly sanding the surface to make sure that the next coat adheres properly to the surface. I also suggest speaking to your local paint expert at the store as they might have an alternative recommendation for you.
