Hey guys,
I am replacing my existing carpet with a hybrid flooring. Upon checking the concrete floor has some rough areas. Whats the best thing to level these small dips.
Hello @yazB
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your concrete floor.
I propose using a 1200mm spirit level to find out if the floor is totally level. Generally speaking, if the dip in the floor is more than 3mm deep you could use Dunlop 20kg Ardit Floor Leveller to address the issue. However, if you are looking at surface damage only, I suggest using UNi-PRO 500g Multi Purpose Interior Filler to fill in any imperfections or small cracks on the surface.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Thanks Eric
I have removed the carpet and its ready to go to Recyclers.
One thing I have been confused about is Vapor barrier.
Its concrete subfloor and Hybrid Vinyl Flooring comes with underlay. Do I need to put vapor barrier below the flooring? you know a plastic sheets basically. I am getting mixed response.
Thanks
Hello @yazB
Yes, you should install a vapour barrier such as GRUNT 2m x 10m Black 70um Multi use Plastic Film - Black or similar. You can use packaging tape to join the plastic sheets together.
