Im in the process of designing built-in wardrobes in the bedrooms, i have decided to go with inserts. I know I need end panels and a spacer beside the wall, but how do I raise the inserts so the draws wont hit the sliding door tracks when they get added later on. Some inserts come ready made with kickboards however they are also a lot more expensive.
Hello @Phippsy01
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your built-in wardrobe.
In that particular situation, I suggest building rectangular plinths from 70x35 to lift the inserts up so that they clear the sliding door tracks. If you wish to have it taller you can use 90x45, the timber will have to be painted white so that it blends in with the cabinetry. You can use Zenith 10G x 65mm Gold Passivated Countersunk Rib Head Chipboard Screws - 50 Pack to join the plinth together.
