Hello @Andzia
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your dining table.
If you are after a natural wood mat finish, I suggest having a quick look at these discussions - Bedside tables makeover by @inspiredbycoast and Console table upcycle coastal-style by @TaylerMayd. These are excellent examples of furniture with modern low sheen finish that still shows the timber pattern on the surface.
The general steps are to sand the surface of the table, I recommend using an orbital sander in order to get a uniform finish. I recommend starting with a 180grit and finishing off with a 240grit sandpaper for a fine finish. I suggest using a sharp timber chisel to remove the sealer and debris in the timber cracks and gaps. I propose using Timbermate Wood filler in the shade of the timber of your table. Wipe the surface clean of sanding dust with a damp cloth and make sure that the table is totally dry before you begin painting your table.
I propose looking at the Cabot's stain and varnish in the colour Brazilian roast (diluted) as described in the discussion above and Dulux Colorbond Evening Haze in combination with Cabot's stain and varnish for the console table.
