How to remove adhesive tape residue on painted wall?

Hi

I had stick some adhesive tape on painted (white) wall. Upon removing the same, I can see some residue left behind and showing up as dark marks or stains. Any idea how to get rid of them without causing damage to the paint?

Hi @hisumesh,

I'd recommend either Goof Off 177ml Adhesive Remover, De-Solv-it 125ml Sticky Spot and Stain Remover or Diggers 125ml Isopropyl Cleaning Alcohol. They should all work quite fine, but use the Goof Off sparingly as it might start to remove the paint if you apply too much and rub too hard.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
