I'm looking.for the easiest possible solution to remove this old paint from the indoor window frame if possible? Sanding back the whole frame isn't an option so not sure of what solution is best. Preferably want the window frame to stay looking like the rest of the window frame minus the paint.
Hello @Innov8tive
If you have some methylated spirits left in your supplies, I suggest getting a clean rag and dipping the end of it in the metho and try wiping away the green paint. If it starts to dissolve, make sure to remove the green paint only and don't exert too much pressure as it might strip the varnish off the window frame.
However, if the green paint does not come off then its safe to conclude that it is an oil-based paint and it will need to be sanded off to remove it.

Thanks for this. I know for a fact it is water based paint. I might try dilute the methylated spirits slightly and not put alot of pressure while doing it. I'll.do.a spot check first to see how it goes.
