Hi everyone,
Can anyone have any idea how to get rid of this stain from hard wooden floor? I am really struggling here, these stains are from a dye
Hello @suzanabhattarai
I suggest testing some basic cleaning substances in your cupboard before you use stronger chemicals. I propose mixing half a cup of vinegar and four half cups of water. Mix the vinegar/water mixture very well and dip a clean rag into the mix. Test a small section of the stain by rubbing the rag on it back and forth to see if it lifts the stain off the floor. Make sure to observe that it does not remove the finish on your floor if it does, please stop and don't apply any further.
Next is mixing baking soda with vinegar. The ratio is 1:2. This means for every one part of baking soda, you would use two parts of white vinegar. For example, if using 1/2 cup of baking soda, use 1 cup of vinegar, or if using a cup of baking soda, use 2 cups of vinegar. Please note that this is a much stronger cleaning mix and I suggest testing it on a small corner of your floor to make sure it does not bleach the surface of your floor.
My last suggestion is to test De-Solv-it 125ml Sticky Spot and Stain Remover. Again, remember to test it first to make sure that it does not do further harm on your flooring. De-Solv-it is a great stain remover and works to dissolve marker stains and sticky residues. Please make sure to wipe off any remaining residue and make sure that the surface is dry after using it.
