How to repair stained concrete-look coffee table?

We have several pieces of furniture from the same range. One of the coffee tables has a bleached stain the size of a drink coaster.

Is there a similar finish I could use to repaint the surface.

The concrete look top is a solid mixture of concrete and fibre glass( I think)

I have an undercoat primer to use and just need similar look paint/coating.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

It looks like there was a concrete sealer on the top of the table that has reacted to whatever was applied to it and possibly dissolved.

Can you do a quick test for me and let me know what happens?

If you pour a small amount of water on the stained patch and a small amount of water on the unstained areas, does the water react differently?

If the water beads on the coated surface and soaks into the stained section, then I suspect the sealer has dissolved, in which case you would need to reapply a concrete sealer to the affected area.

Matching it exactly would be tricky, but looking at the level of gloss, this Crommelin Satin Wet Look Sealer should be pretty close.

Let me know what you find, and I will assist further.

I tested both surfaces and both beaded on top. There was some minor absorbsion on the stain after after @45min.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way you could simply paint over the damaged section and have it match the unstained area.

It seems likely, considering the absorption, that the sealer has been damaged.

Unfortunately, the only way I could see to fix the issue and have everything look uniform once again is to sand back the entire surface to bare concrete and then apply a fresh sealer over the top.

I would suggest that if you'd like to go down this route, you contact a concrete polishing and sealing company for their assistance, as using abrasive techniques on concrete creates a lot of harmful airborne dust.

Alternatively, you could use the Dulux Concrete and Paving Sealed Surface products. This would cover the natural polished concrete and give it a uniform painted surface. It is not ideal, but it's an option you could do yourself.
