Hi Everyone - I have stone benchtop and it has burnt mark due to leaving hot pan over this
any idea how it can be fixed?
just fyi - it’s been 6 months with this mark
Hi @kitkat20,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Are you certain it is stone?
It looks more likely to be Caesarstone, which is made of powdered stones mixed with resin and is much more susceptible to this type of burn.
You could start by trying a cream-based cleaner such as Jif Professional Original Cream Cleanser with a Non-Scratch Scourer Pad. This could help to remove some of the discolouration.
You could also try making a paste of baking soda and water. Gently rub the paste on the stain with a soft cloth or non-scratch pad and leave it for 5–10 minutes, then wipe away.
If these options don't work, it is likely something you would need to speak with a stone benchtop repairer for assistance with.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Jacob
