I’m trying to install a vertical window air conditioner in my room. The unit’s frame supports a height range of 85–140 cm, and my window opening is exactly 140 cm. In case this turns out to be a tight or imperfect fit, I’m wondering if there’s a safe and practical way to add a bit of height (raise a bottom and get a groove just like before) to the window frame so the window height comes in under 140 cm and fits the AC frame without issue. Any suggestions or DIY solutions would be greatly appreciated.
As I’m currently renting, the solution would need to be non-permanent and not cause any damage to the window frame. Any advice or DIY ideas would be greatly appreciated.
