Old wall unit to Hampton TV Cabinet

This 90’s build wall cabinet was so much fun to turn into our Hamptons tv cabinet. We started by removing the back panel, and shelving through the centre. We were able to reuse most of the timber to create some open shelving either side of the tv. We used a vj panel as the new back panel, and some specrite raw timber panels to aid with the new shelving structure. We then gave the cabinet a sand applied taubmans 3in1, and painted in Taubmans semi gloss inner circle. We replaced the knobs using Bunnings products, drilled a hole in the back to hide cables as well as mounting our Foxtel box behind the tv. Big thanks to our local Bunnings @ Plainland ☺️

Re: Old wall unit to Hampton TV Cabinet

Hello @sallie24

Thank you very much for sharing this outstanding upcycle project. What an ingenious way of re-purposing this old wall unit. I honestly can't stop staring at it because of how it used to look. You have truly explored the possibilities of how this cabinet can be reconfigured and still fit in with your existing house theme. A truly amazing makeover.

Again, thank you for sharing your fantastic wall cabinet project.

Eric
