Steps
Step 1
Cut floor boards to size of tray required
Glue boards to required width, mine is 285mm wide.
Cut tray sides to fit around the outside of the base. I cut out the slots for the handles using a jigsaw and router to cleanup, I made a template to get a neat finish.
I also joined the ends of the timber by making the joints as a box joint, then glued.
I pre drilled mounting holes on the side rails




Step 2
I sanded the sides and stained to match the base, I used Japan black stain and clear varnish

Step 3
Once dried, fitted the side to the base using black countersunk screws
