This was left on the sidewalk, I asked the owner if I could have. It was a quality piece of solid wood but very golden syrup in colour and rather out of date. I love up cycling pieces like this and giving them a new purpose. I actually kept this one as it suits my decor. It was very scratched and well worn with an over hang that made it out dated.

Materials
I am an amateur ‘carpenter’ but love working with wood! I painted with Monument as main colour and clear top finished with bees wax.
Tools
I have Ozito battery tools
Three Drills: one for drilling, screwing, counter sink.
jigsaw, sander, and drop saw.
Steps
Step 1
*Thoroughly cleaned the unit with sugar soap.
*repaired and loose bits.
*took doors off, removed drawers
*Sanded the complete unit
*cut the overhang from the unit top
*sanded the top back to original raw wood
*two coats of paint and one clear
*added new brushed handles
