What is the best method for a strong wardrobe rail install?

Help installation of a new wardrobe rail. I have lived in this house for over 3 years, same wardrobe railing which is inside a mirrored 3 door sliding robe. It is roughly 4 m long. This rail was attached to the bottom of a shelf.

What would be the best tools and hardware to ensure this is fixed strongly

It looks like one of the wardrobe rail brackets has broken, most likely due to being overloaded or not having enough support along the length of the rail. For a span of around four metres, a single or even two mid supports might not be enough to handle the weight of clothing, especially over time.

The chrome rail and sockets you’re using are generally fine for this purpose, but they need to be installed with adequate support. I’d recommend removing the rail entirely and reinstalling it with five total brackets: one pillar end at each end and three centre mounts evenly spaced in the middle. This will help distribute the load and prevent sagging or further damage.
