Thanks for sharing your question about cost effective hardwood for a bedside table. Can you please tell us a little bit more about how big the bedside table will be? Is there a specific design you were planning on doing? There are several types of hardwood such as Tasmanian Oak, Jarrah, Blackbutt, and Spotted Gum which are ideal for furniture making. I also suggest having a look at the side tables available on the Bunnings website. A good example is the Casa Hardwood Side Table | Natural which has a modern design.
