How to remove textured paint from the walls correctly
Hello @Serendipity
If your home was built between 1970 and 1990, I suggest having your walls tested for asbestos first. If the test is positive, you will need the services of an asbestos removal specialist. If the results are negative, you can continue with your renovation.
On the condition that the results are negative, I suggest testing the surface with a 100mm Sharp Edge Paint Scraper. If the paint surface is too hard to scrape off, I suggest using an orbital sander with an 80grit sandpaper. If the paint surface is still to hard use a lower grit such as 40grit to remove the paint surface.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
