Attaching metal post to brick wall

Hello,

there is 7 x 3.5 m pergola - one side attached to the brick wall and the other side resting on 2 poles.

Tradesman has finished the job but the metal post that is attached to the brick wall has not been fixed properly. 7m length sitting on 3 dyna bolts, and 3 holes on metal post as seen on the pic (without any screw / bolt). I feel concerned that pegola may not be able to withstand rain / storm.

Can you pls guide - what size screw / bolt should I use to complete this unfinished job?

Many thanks,

Re: attaching metal post to brick wall

Hi @diy_ujjaval,

It would be helpful for our members if you could let us know the thickness of the beam. You'll need to use Dynabolts, and I would believe something like the Ramset 10 x 100mm DynaBolt Plus Hex Nut Bolt would be sufficient. If the current holes are less than 10mm in diameter, you'll need to enlarge them or select a thinner Dynabolt.

Please let me know if you need further information or had questions.

Mitchell
