Can I build a low-level deck on concrete using a plastic base?

Hi , looking at installation a timber deck over concrete. I would like to use a plastic base ( not the 300 x 300 tiles ) Due to fall I feel this would l work better in my situation. I have researched but can only find timber tiles on plastic. Can you actually buy a plastic product that you can lay on the concrete and then lay decking boards directly on top. The area to cover is approximately 6 x 5 mtrs

I am unaware of any plastic product you first lay on the concrete, which you can then lay decking directly onto. Typically, to construct a deck, you need to lay a series of joists, and the decking is laid onto those. Alternatively, as you've mentioned, there are decking tiles which are very thin plastic-backed timber tiles.

What sort of height do you have to build your deck within? You'll want to get the decking timber up as high as possible to allow airflow underneath and prevent decay. Have a read through this article on How to build a low-level deck; I'm sure you'll find it informative.

For levelling your timber joists to accommodate for any fall over the area, these pedestal feet are perfect due to their adjustability. Once you have the joists down, you'll be free to screw your decking on top.
