Hose connection

Hose connection

I've got a kids slide coming from the cubby house which allows us to clamp a hose on to turn it into a bit of a waterside. I've been using the garden hose, taking off the snap connection and clamping it on, but wondered if there was a better way.

I'm thinking of setting it up with a snap on fitting somehow fixed to the little stub under the slide. Whether that means having a piece of hose permanently clamped to the slide with a snap fitting on the other end allowing a second hose to snap onto it. I'm not even sure if that's possible?

Any suggestions are helpful so I know if anything exists to make this happen.

The outer diameter of the little stub under the slide is around 14mm

Re: Hose connection

Hi @dabroa,

What is the diameter of your current hose? I imagine you would have to have an 18mm hose for it to fit over that fitting. Is that correct?

If so, what I would suggest is cutting off a short length of the existing hose and connecting it to the slide as you have already been doing. You can then attach a new 18mm Hose Connector to the end of the short length of hose, then connect an 18mm 2 Way Hose Coupler to the connector.

This will give you a connection that you can quickly and easily snap your garden hose onto.

Let me know what you think, and if you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to add them to the discussion.
